We are just a little over 12 hours from WWE's Night of Champion's pay-per-view event and just three weeks until WWE's Battle Ground pay-per-view event. After looking at the events that transpired at Sunday's show, it's pretty clear what direction the company is taking in terms of future storlines. Here are the possible matches for WWE's first ever Battle Ground pay-per-view.
Ryback vs. CM Punk: Ryback and Punk revisit their rivalry from late 2012-early 2013, now with the roles reversed. Punk is now the angry fan favorite and Ryback plays the dastardly one, except a great feud going into this match.
Kofi Kingston vs. Curtis Axel: Kingston and Axel have been battling several times as of late without much story. Count on that burgeoning rivalry blossoming. With his feud with CM Punk over, Axel's lack of rivals points to Kingston challenging once more.
The Shield vs. The Prime Time Players: The Prime Time Players could be the one to take the titles, but more work needs to be done. WWE must build the story, set the scene and make the challengers look stronger going into the second round of this battle.
Rob Van Dam vs. Alberto Del Rio: Bet on Van Dam demanding a second shot at the title, episodically after the way things went down at Sunday's event.
Randy Orton vs. Daniel Bryan: The referee’s count was mighty fast at Night of Champions. Randy Orton has a rematch clause so expect Triple H to either strip the title from Bryan or make him defeat Orton again.
