Lockdown 2013 Predictions

Long time no see, everyone. Here are my predictions for this Sunday’s Lockdown pay-per-view.

Joey Ryan vs. Joseph Park

I don’t even remember what the point of the match was. I like Joey Ryan, but why is he doing this? He has not even been on iMPACT for the past couple weeks. So, this match has very little build up in my mind. I really don’t think this match is necessary, but I can easily Joseph Park defeating Joey Ryan.

Robbie E vs. Robbie T

Sup, bro? Robbie E is taking on Robbie T at Lockdown, bro. This all started with the bro-off between Robbie E and Jessie Godderz. Robbie T just decimated these guys in the bro-off. Ever since then, we’ve been seeing a gradual face turn from Robbie T.. He has been drifting away from Robbie E. Now, they are in a small feud at Lockdown. Personally, I think Robbie E is going to steal a win here from Robbie T. However, after the match, I think Robbie E is going to get pummeled by Robbie T.

Kenny King vs. Zema Ion vs. Christian York - X Division Championship
Kenny King is awesome. He is the kind of guy that is perfect for the X Division. However, he doesn’t really have much support in the X Division. He does have Christian York, who I believe is the most talented of the bunch in this match. I’m excited to see this match, as I believe these three should put on an entertaining show with some cool moves and excitement. As for the winner, I have to predict Kenny King since he won the title so recently. I think Kenny King will be pinning Christian York to win the match.

Velvet Sky vs. Gail Kim - Knockouts Championship

Gail Kim is arguably the greatest TNA knockout of all time. She might not be as big as Awesome Kong, but she can always put on fast paced and really entertaining matchups. She is the first Knockouts Champion. I really think that Gail Kim should be the Knockouts Champion again, but I can’t see her winning. Velvet Sky is going to win this. I’ve noticed a trend where when the champion gets pinned on a show such as iMPACT, they win at the PPV event. I think that this is the same case. So, I expect to see Velvet Sky win this and retain her title.

Austin Aries & Bobby Roode vs. Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez vs. Bad Influence - World Tag Team ChampionshipAustin Aries and Bobby Roode are two of TNA’s best wrestlers. These guys are so talented and are just a lot of fun to watch, especially in their tag team. I really hope to see these guys retain their titles, but I am not really sure if they will. I believe that this is the hardest match to predict of the whole PPV. I can see it going to Aries & Roode, but, at the same time, I can easily see Guerrero & Hernandez win. So, I am going to have to predict Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez becoming the brand new TNA World Tag Team Champions.

Kurt Angle vs. Wes Brisco - Steel Cage Match
This is another tough one to predict. I can see it going either way. Which way will it go? I think that Wes Brisco will take the win over Kurt Angle. I don’t think it will be a standard win. I think there is going to be interference in some way. I’m thinking it will be D-Lo Brown, but I am not positive.

Team TNA vs. Aces & Eights - Lethal Lockdown

Aces & Eights has been terrorizing TNA and its roster for a long time. Now, they are here in a showdown of the ages against TNA, who is fighting back with their own five men, Sting, Magnus, Samoa Joe, James Storm, and Eric Young. I can’t really see Aces & Eights winning this. I think that this will be a brutal loss for Aces & Eights and this will be a big blow to them. I can’t really see an Aces & Eights victory, so I am going with Team TNA for the victory over Aces & Eights in the Lethal Lockdown match.

Bully Ray vs. Jeff Hardy - Steel Cage Match - World Heavyweight Championship

Bully Ray was a much different path for the longtime tag team wrestler, Mark LoMonaco. After announcing their retirement, he suddenly turned on Devon and became Bully Ray. Bully Ray as a heel was incredible. Now, he is lame. With Brooke Hogan at his side, he has become pretty lame and he is not as exciting as he used to be. Now he is facing Jeff Hardy at Lockdown. Jeff Hardy has had a solid reign as the World Heavyweight Champion. However, i think that Jeff’s time is up and I believe we are seeing the NEW World Heavyweight Champion in Bully Ray.
