WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view will take place this Sunday at 7:30PM ET. This is the final pay-per-view before WWE's biggest pay-per-view event of the year, WrestleMania. The following is a preview of the Chamber PPV event with predictions.
WWE Champion The Rock vs. CM Punk (If Rock is counted out or disqualified, Punk wins the WWE Title)
Well this match outcome has already been spoiled on the DVD artwork for WrestleMania 29. The Rock, as of this writing, is scheduled to face John Cena at WrestleMania this year, and as far as I know, they have no plans to change this.
John Cena, Ryback & Sheamus vs. The Shield
This match was rumored to take place inside the Chamber, but since then those plans have changed on account of WWE not wanting their top stars to look weak against a bunch of rookies.
For the past several months The Shield have made their primary targets Ryback, Cena and Sheamus. There are not many details on what WWE plans to do with The Shield after the pay-per-view or heading into WrestleMania. This should be a very interesting match, as there are no stipulations that I am aware of at this point, so it will be just a regular six man tag. My prediction is John Cena's team will win in some fashion by either clean pin or disqualification.
Elimination Chamber Match to determine the No. 1 contender for the World Heavyweight Championship
Randy Orton, Jack Swagger, Chris Jericho, Mark Henry, Kane & Daniel Bryan will participate in this bout with a chance to go onto WrestleMania 29 to face the World Heavyweight Champion.
This match can go a lot of ways. There is a lot of great talent in this match. However, if I was to pick one winner it would be Mark Henry. Henry has recently returned and seems to be getting over better then ever. When he went out with his injury, he was on top of his game, and I believe that WWE plans to keep him on top of his game.
World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio vs. Big Show
Alberto Del Rio is WWE's newest face champion. He made the transition, and has been getting the fans support. With that being said, I believe he will retain his World Heavyweight Championship over The Big Show and go on to face Mark Henry at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.
Possible Swerve: If Chris Jericho wins the Elimination Chamber, I could see Ziggler cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase here and winning it, becoming the new World Heavyweight Champion, which would then set up Jericho vs. Ziggler, which would look pretty good on paper.
United States Champion Antonio Cesaro vs. The Miz
Not sure what exactly WWE has planned for The Miz and his future with the company. Lately it seems as if he hosts "MIZTV" more than he actually wrestles. Antonio on the other hand has been proving why he is probably one of the best United States Champions the WWE has seen in a long time, which leads me to believe he will get the victory over The Miz.
Divas Champion Kaitlyn vs. Tamina Snuka
Not really sure how to predict here, as this build has been lacking TV time. Kaitlyn is still new as champion, and Snuka really hasn't done much lately with her career. I predict Kaitlyn will leave the Elimination Chamber PPV still Divas Champion.
Brodus Clay & Tensai vs. Team Rhodes Scholars (Pre-Show)
Brodus Clay & Tensai are a freshly formed team, why WWE still questions if Team Rhode Scholars should be together. I think this match was put together just to use these stars in some form. There are no stipulations here, or nothing has been announced as a number one contenders match either, so basically this match is means nothing on the card. I predict the newly form of Brodus & Tensai over Rhodes Scholars purely on the fact that WWE has a plan to continue to pair these two together long term.
Thats it for my predictions. Be sure to join us on Sunday for LIVE coverage, and leave your feedback below.
