I have been asking myself this question for a while now, why isn't it just John Cena vs. The Shield?
1 vs. 3 sounds better because no matter how I look at it, John Cena is going to walk out the winner in this match by pulling out some sort of upset, like he usually does.
I see that Sheamus and Ryback will be made to somehow get eliminated thus leaving Cena against The Shield, then BOOM!, Super Cena starts doing what he always does, overcomes the odds, fans will boo, the IWC will bitch and moan and The Shield will just be another faction that got it's ass kicked by John Cena. So really why add Ryback and Sheamus when really, they're just going to be wasted in this when both could easily be thrown into the Elimination Chamber for the World title OR a Chamber match for the Raw brand.
John Cena vs. The Shield makes sense, just because well it's got Cena winning written all over it. When Cena goes in, he rarely loses, yes he lost a couple of times last year to CM Punk but when you look at it, he won nearly every other match (except against The Rock). Really though, Ryback vs. The Shield makes MORE sense especially since from day 1, Shield have been giving Ryback a hiding more-so than they have Cena.
I don't know what it is, but this match just doesn't make sense to me; especially with Cena winning and Shield getting their butts kicked by WWE's Golden Boy.
Elimination Chamber looks quite interesting - we get CM Punk vs. The Rock for the WWE championship again, we get a good looking Elimination Chamber with Randy Orton, Jack Ssswaggerpuss, Mark Henry, Chris Jericho, Daniel Bryan and Kane all entering the steel structure; though really, Swagger shouldn't be included solely for the fact that, he will enter and probably be eliminated first - what I'm glad about is Rey Mysterio isn't going to be in the match; Rey is an unreliable superstar now days but that my friend's is another blog for another day, Tamina vs. Kaitlyn for the Divas title has also been announced, which I'm excited for - finally Tamina gets a shot at the title; shame WWE keep misusing Natayla. Alberto vs. Big Show should be an interesting match; though really how many times do we have to see the same damn World title match in a row?
The one match that I'm not looking forward to is quite simply, Cena, Ryback & Sheamus vs. The Shield just because The Shield will come in looking strong but in the end, be made looking weak at the hands of John Cena - still I ask the question, why waste Sheamus & Ryback in this match? Honestly, John Cena can take those three (Shield) on with no troubles, heck he took on Nexus by himself and they had more members within their group. So why does Cena need Ryback and Sheamus? The whole match screams easy and on paper, it looks like three of WWE's main eventers taking on three unknowns who look like jobbers (again nothing against The Shield) but you compare the size of Sheamus, Ryback and Cena to The Shield, it looks a lot more like an unfair fight, plus you add the fact that Cena & Sheamus are former World champions and then you look at Ryback; again I ask the question - does John Cena need back-up? My answer is no.
