Can TNA Play With The Big Boys?

Amidst the news that TNA has decided to start touring full time it got me thinking on whether this was a good idea for the company or not. The answerer I came to is yes. I've actually been waiting for this moment for a long time, the time when TNA stepped out of their comfort zones and into the game. The opposing team on the field of course is, gulp, the WWE.
The last time TNA tried to step out of their comfort zone was when they went head to head with the WWE on Monday Nights a few years back. A lot of wrestling fans where excited again including me. However TNA quickly dropped the ball and had to do damage control stating they just like being on TV Thursdays better, right. In my view TNA was falling prey to exactly what WCW fell prey to and that was wrestlers with creative control, too many writers with too many ideas and no captain of the ship. They would go from having very exciting TV like RVD and Sting fighting, to having The Nasty Boys wrestling. I'm sorry Hulk, I know your friends with one of them, but we don't want to see The Nasty Boys wrestling in that capacity.
So now TNA is ready to set sail into the unknown once again, word is WWE is already blocking some arenas from TNA being able to perform in, not good news for TNA. I will say this, if TNA needs to accomplish one thing it's that it doesn't have an identity crisis. What does TNA want to be about? Old timers, ex WWE'rs or new and fresh? Or a nice mix of both ultimately benefiting newer guys in the end. They can't go back and fourth every week on this issue because the fans will grow tired.
And feuding with the WWE? Wow I mean nobody does it better than the WWE say what you will about them, Vince McMahon is a genius with a track record that would scare anyone. I know TNA isn't going head to head with the juggernaut company now, but they've stepped onto the field in my view. Vince is a great coach, can Dixie do what Vince does? For TNA's sake, lets hope so.
