Dolph Ziggler: He's Your Man

To be the man you've got to beat the man as often famously quoted by Ric Flair is generally the truth in the WWE. Although he hasn't beat "the man" yet, Dolph Ziggler certainly seems to the be "the man" to me. Dolph Ziggler really has everything you could want in a world champion, great intensity, great passion, a great look and charisma. I'm sure I've quoted this before but Triple H once said "you can't teach charisma" and in my opinion Ziggler is overflowing with it.

It's sad that Ziggler will be kind of out of the picture this year as far as main event status goes because it really seems like it's time for him to shine. With all of the part-timers showing up to WrestleMania Ziggler will be but a footnote on the show, unless he manages a classic match which I know he's capable of. The business sure has changed a lot in the last few years I mean Triple H, Brock Lesnar, The Rock and The Undertaker will all be headlining WrestleMania and they're not even around for half the year. Don't get me wrong, WrestleMania needs these guys for sure but it's sad that people like Ziggler get the cold shoulder.

Yes Ziggler has won the Smackdown heavyweight title but to me that belt is a bit of a joke. This is one spot where the WWE is really just dropping the ball is with how they treat there belts and it's been talked about endlessly but I can't help but repeat that the WWE needs to keep these belts important because they can help a guy get over with the fans. So Ziggler won the heavyweight title which is showing some faith by the WWE, but the WWE needs to go all the way with Ziggy because he's the guy that's going to take the ball into the end-zone.

Guys like Ziggler don't come around very often and Ziggler really has a main eventers look which is exactly what the WWE officials go nuts over, the marketability factor. If I was the WWE I would put Ziggler in a match at Mania with a legend like Shawn Michaels or Ric Flair, granted they would agree to do it. The WWE did a great job with CM Punk in how they made him a star and I applaud them for that they just need to find a way to put Ziggler over the top now. Is it Zigglers time to shine?
