Going on two years without Edge

April 11 2011 marked the day that Adam Copeland better known as Edge announced that he was forced to retire from life threatening injuries, and ever since this day WWE has been missing apart of itself, this part is the Rated R Superstar.

As a heel or as a face Edge brought the crowd to its feet nearly every match he had performed, every match that comes to my mind, is just another classic Edge match.

Such as

Edge vs. Shawn Michaels at Royal Rumble 2005
Edge vs. John Cena in a TLC match Unforgiven 2006
Edge vs. Triple H vs. John Cena Backlash 2006
Edge vs. Jeff Hardy Extreme Rules 2009
Edge vs. Undertaker Summerslam 2007
Edge vs. RVD Vengeance 2006

This is just to name a few of the classic matches that Edge had performed in, it was like if Edge was involved you just knew you were going to see a hell of a match, and it seems like ever since Edge had left the WWE from injuries, no one has been able to replace the role he had played as the Ultimate Opportunist.

The more I think about it the more I miss Edge, because even his promos/mic work was just brilliant.

Love him or hate him, you always wanted to know what was he going to do next, was he going to do a live sex celebration, was he going to throw another title in the long island sound, or maybe he was going to cash in a money in the bank contract and steal another title or maybe he was going to bash Kofi Kingston and steal his spot in the Elimination Chamber, you just didn’t know what he was going to do next and that’s what made Edge who he was, he was unpredictable.

I’m glad he informed the doctors about his injuries before it got too far and he became paralysed, because no one wants to see that, no one wants to see a wrestler’s career ended in an instant not even John Cena.

I do miss Edge, I miss his cocky smile, his I’m better then you attitude, his shocking opportunistic moments, but most of all I do miss his classic Edge matches.

This blog is simply a tribute to Edge and the fact that he has nearly been gone for 2 years and in that 2 years WWE simply hasn’t been the same, if you haven’t seen the matches listed above I recommend you do because from beginning to end there just classic Edge moments.

If you want to list some matches yourself put them in the comments below or even if it’s just thoughts.

love it. totally great blog man. Yes Edge definitely brought excitement and a lot of energy when he got in that ring. And especially when Lita was his valet/manager, I was always watching him. As spectacular as he was as a singles competitor, I think Edge will always be remembered as one half of...
