There's been a lot of talk so far about WrestleMania 29 and why shouldn't there be, it's the biggest event of the year and this one has potential to be a classic. There's still a lot of unanswered questions right now going into Mania. How will Brock Lesnar fit in to Mania? How about Triple H? Ryback? A lot of uncertainty at this point, maybe more so then ever for WWE's grand daddy of em all. But I'm not going to waist time talking about those other guys, my question is - how about the dead man? The big kahuna, The Undertaker.
There has been, believe it or not, talk of The Undertaker not even appearing at WrestleMania 29. I'd have to balk on that claim a bit, I'm sure Taker has cleared up his schedule for WrestleMania weekend. So who will he fight? There's been a few wrestlers names tossed around, the one that seems to make the most sense is Brock Lesnar. Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker had something of an outing at a UFC event that Brock had foughten at, that would be a very nice setup for their match if they have one. But will WWE really want to go the Brock/Taker route? I for one would love to see this match-up but the WWE has a chance to get a new up and comer over.Stepping into the ring with The Undertaker whether you win or lose automatically raises your stock in the WWE and there's a few guys who could use a bump up to the big time.
I'm not sure why but Sheamus's name keeps coming to my mind. I think Sheamus still has a lot of untapped potential, he did fight Triple H at Mania a few years back but that was quickly forgotten. I think Sheamus and The Undertaker would blend well in the ring, Sheamus seems like he's here to stay and I would put serious consideration into having this guy feud with The Undertaker. Whether you like him or not Ryback seems like he's getting over decently with the crowd and I think Ryback vs Taker would be an awesome match-up. The only problem with Taker fighting an up and comer is the infamous streak, we know the WWE will never end the streak at this point that's become pretty apparent but like I said, there are ways a guy can still get over fighting Taker.
So we got Brock, Sheamus and Ryback considered. How about The Rock? Nah, not likely, those two never seemed to mesh well in the ring together anyway. I really hope the WWE doesn't do a fourth Triple H/Taker matchup, Triple H's ego isn't that big, is it? There is always a possibility of John Cena stepping in to the ring with The Undertaker, I think that would be a pretty cool match, granted Cena would get booed out of the building. Only time will tell but I'm sure WWE will make the right move. Who do you think Taker should fight at WrestleMania? Post your comments good or bad, thanks for reading!
