Can Ryback be the Next WWE Champion?

Over the past several weeks we have seen a lot of Ryback and CM Punk stare downs that leave us with one question, can Ryback become the next WWE Champion.

I don’t think so. There is something about Ryback that makes me say no way. That something is his overall package. Ryback is a pretty good in ring competitor, I’ll give him that but he lacks some skills. Ever since Ryback arrived to WWE we have seen him beating some no names to basically just fill in a segment. Thing is, it seems like Ryback can’t talk or the WWE is holding him back strategically. I mean the WWE should let him work on his microphone skills because without the proper microphone skills Ryback will not be able to hold the WWE championship anytime soon.

Currently we have CM Punk as champion who will soon face John Cena at Hell in a Cell and I am perfectly fine with that. Hopefully CM Punk will retain his title and continue his awesome title streak and eventually face Ryback in a title match. CM Punk has everything a champion needs and he proves it each and every week on live TV.

Lately the WWE has given us some hints that there may be a Ryback vs CM Punk feud in the future. The possible feud between these two excites me. Ryback reminds me of “The Animal” Batista and I was a huge fan of his. Ever since Batista left the WWE there has been a gap in the heavyweight division. We saw the likes of Mark Henry, , Big Show and The Great Khali but all these guys I just named have had their time and I believe that adding Ryback will make it very interesting since we haven’t seen Henry or Khali all that much lately.

If Ryback can polish himself and present himself as the next big thing he truly has a chance to become a great Champion. But until then I think that the WWE should have Ryback face opponents that will mean something. How about having Ryback face Brodus Clay or Tensai so that he actually has a challenge.

In the end I believe that Ryback is not ready to become Champion. However if Ryback works on his overall Package I believe that he will be a great Champion.
