Ryback: He's Next
by Bobby Quinn
Ryback is next, no I don't mean the next guy on Goldberg's streak I mean he's the next WWE guy. Ryback is easily more impressive then Batista and just as impressive if not more than Goldberg or Brock Lesnar. All Ryback needs to do is develop his name recognition a little more and he's "the man." When someone has "it" they just have it and when Ryback showed up on the WWE scene I think everyone got those similar Goldberg vibes from 1997 when he debuted on WCW Nitro.
If the WWE plays their cards right I don't see why Ryback can't be world champion in the very near future of the company. I don't see anything happening at next years Wrestlemania but the year after that I could easily imagine Ryback owning Wrestlemania. The WWE hasn't really had a great epic match between two of their own full time wrestlers in a long time. I think the last real epic match I remember seeing from two WWE guys (not part-timers) was John Cena vs Shawn Michaels or Cena vs Triple H. A Ryback vs John Cena match at Wrestlermania could be very, very exciting.
It would also be unbelievably cool to see a Ryback vs Brock Lesnar match but I'm not sure WWE would want to play that card now. Brock is in a position where he needs to be kept strong and it wouldn't make Ryback look good to job to a guy who's not even a full time wrestler. A Ryback/Undertaker matchup would seem a little more likely which would also be awesome to see, a win over The Undertaker would mean huge things for Ryback.
We all the know the WWE has changed their look to smaller guys being in the World Title picture in past years, Ryback is a welcome breath of fresh air as someone who goes in the ring and completely dominates. Ryback also possesses the speed and strength combination that a lot of big guys lacked, Batista was very good but he was no Goldberg, Lesnar or Ryback. The WWE has a future mega star on their hands all they have to do is let him do his thing and keep pushing him, if I was Vince McMahon I'd have a very, very close eye on Ryback.

meh. WWE needs to take the whole "Ryback" thing in another direction, maybe just push him to the top like Barrett did and just see what happens. Right now he's boring and more boring, a bunch of squash matches are boring, then he can barely take Mahinder and Tyler Reks. He seems to get winded fast. ...

I am not a fan of Ryback. He isn't leaving an impression like Batista, Lesnar, or Goldberg, IMO. I mean, whenever he comes out, I am just like, ehh, 2 minute squash.

He might be next if they push some of the main faces over to heel, but even then, I doubt it. He isn't any more impressive than Goldberg, Lesnar, or Lashley. Batista is much more impressive than those three. But Ryback has a ways to go to ever get pushed. Put him in a feud with Big Show where he...

like August said, and Miz said during commentary during last Raw, all of Rybacks matches are too short, if someone pushed him and made a match go into 10 mins+ Ryback would struggle, I'm not hating on the guy, just sick of squash matches. He's done way more of those than even Brodus did. More or les...

main reason, i believe, that Ryback isn't getting over successfully and convincingly is because he's still too green. and that's been going on with a few of the new talents pushed too soon. Vince wants to make stars overnight and it's simply not possible if 1) they don't have "it" or 2) they're too ...
