WWE was set to hold WrestleMania 36 inside Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Circumstances outside Vince McMahon’s control caused the event to be moved. It looks like one WWE Superstar is going to play that venue anyway.

News broke today that Rob Gronkowski is being traded from the New England Patriots to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He retired, but had one year left on his deal worth $10 million.

WWE commented on this news by tweeting out the article from ESPN. They also included a caption to acknowledge the announcement.

We’ll have to see how this plays out in terms of Gronk’s future with WWE. He took off with the WWE 24/7 Title and fans haven’t seen him since.

It’s also unclear if the current pandemic will stop the NFL’s season from kicking off as scheduled. Gronk will likely be wearing a different jersey when that time comes.
