Vince McMahon’s announcement on RAW this week was supposed to usher in a New Era. Whether that will be successful remains to be seen, but at least they’re trying. It seems like as much as WWE might be attempting to right their wrongs, there will be people expecting immediate change, but it can sometimes take a good amount of time to turn around a ship as big as WWE.
Jimmy Jacobs recently appeared on Wrestling Observer Live where he discussed the idea of Vince McMahon being to blame for so many negative aspects of WWE. In the end, as much as WWE might fail to hit the mark, they do pull off a lot of successful ideas as well.

“So, [you’re writing things going] ‘Will Vince gonna yell about this?’ It’s hard to know what he wants because things will change, and he’ll want changes. He’s certainly a unique character and some people like to blame Vince for all the bad stuff, I don’t know if that’s true or not. Certainly, I’ll give the devil his due: if you blame him for the bad stuff then you have to blame him for the good stuff.”

You never know what WWE could be planning next. Vince McMahon could have a lot of good ideas left in the tank to turn RAW back into a program you can’t miss. In the meantime, maybe fans can accept that McMahon might not be perfect, but WWE is the juggernaut they are for a reason.
