Seth Rollins gained a lot of notoriety as a member of The Shield and he became infamous as the hand-picked champion of The Authority after he turned on Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose. It was a long road to get Rollins back to babyface status and becoming the Kingslayer when he defeated Triple H was supposed to seal the deal for him.
However, Brad Shepard reported on Oh, You Didn’t Know that the internal reaction to Rollins’ Intercontinental Title Match at WWE TLC left lot of people disappointed backstage. We already know Vince McMahon was furious about it. The match was viewed as a flop and apparently, Rollins isn’t the star they thought they were making when booking him to defeat The King Of Kings at WrestleMania.

“Internal reaction on Seth Rollins vs Dean Ambrose at TLC. I asked a source in the company about this. They said that Seth and Dean was a ‘flop’ and believe fans are over The Shield stuff. In fact, they went on to rant on the treatment of Seth Rollins and how him beating Hunter at WrestleMania was a ‘massive waste of time’ and wasn’t nearly the making of a star that they thought it was.”

You never know if WWE might have some bigger plans for Rollins. He is rumored to be facing Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 35, so that might be another big springboard for him. Hopefully, they will be able to figure out way to elevate Rollins because as long as Roman Reigns is out of action it seems like WWE could be looking to The Architect to fill The Big Dog’s role in a lot of ways.
