WWE’s primary objective is WrestleMania where the big match everyone seems to want is Becky Lynch vs Ronda Rousey. Of course, Charlotte Flair would much rather face Rousey instead. Now it seems like WWE could be inching closer to making that happen for The Queen.
Dave Meltzer discussed WWE’s direction for WWE TLC during Wrestling Observer Radio and how it could lead to a Royal Rumble match he’s heard is a go for January 27th. The big issue is that WWE will need to figure out how to make it happen.

“If [Lynch] loses and Charlotte is the champion, that’s fine, but if Ronda loses and Nia becomes the champion that kinda sucks. So, but you know Charlotte can cost her the match because I’m pretty sure that they’re gonna go with Ronda and Charlotte at Royal Rumble. I mean based on everything I heard that was the direction.”

You never know how WWE could book this feud across brands. WWE TLC will give Rousey and Flair a chance to at least cross paths which is a rarity so something might need to happen.
Flair issued a warning to Rousey on SmackDown a couple of weeks ago, so she very well could cash in on that promise in San Jose. WWE is apparently headed toward a match between Rousey and Flair in Phoenix, so they’ll need to get to work on making that happen one way or another.
