Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins know each other well. On the sixth-year anniversary of their WWE debut as members of The Shield, The Lunatic Fringe and the Kingslayer battled in San Jose at WWE TLC.
Ambrose went for Rollins’ knee early on and that old injury of Seth’s kept coming up throughout the match. They also kept driving the point home on commentary.
When all was said and done, the crowd would be chanting, “Boring” as the match carried on. They seemed spent by this point, or maybe they weren’t feeling the action. For whatever reason, it just didn’t seem like they were with it.
Seth hit a bucklebomb on the outside and almost won via count-out, but then he went out and got his former partner to drag him back into the ring for more. Rollins went for The Stomp, but Ambrose countered with a Dirty Deeds to get the pin and win the title.
After the match, Ambrose soaked in the moment while his new entrance music complete with additional sirens that were recently added played on.
