WWE isn’t the only company in pro wrestling where you can make a name for yourself. They are the biggest and most influential, but it’s possible that a Superstar had a better gimmick elsewhere. You can find this is true with few Superstars, even WWE Hall Of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley.
During his time away from WWE, Dudley adopted the Bully Ray character in TNA and he still uses it today in ROH. At this point, he is probably called Bully just as much as Bubba.
One fan recently commented about how awesome the Bully Ray character would have been in WWE. The man himself obviously saw this because he replied to reveal how close this actually came to happening in Vince McMahon’s company.
“As I’ve stated in the past, we came close…real close…48hrs away close. It was supposed to happen on the night we said goodbye on Raw. Oh well…their loss,” Bully Ray tweeted out.
It really is WWE’s loss, but at this point, it is certainly Ring Of Honor’s gain.
