Former WWE and Impact Wrestling star Austin Aries has traveled the world since he was released from his WWE contract. In the process, “The Greatest Man Who Has Ever Lived” became the “Belt Collector” after he captured numerous Championships around the globe- in countries like the United States of America, The UK, and Australia.
Aries first started his collection back in November of 2017 and quickly accumulated more Championship titles than most wrestlers have won in their entire careers. However, all good things do come to an end, and as of November 26, 2018, Aries no longer has any Championships left. The “Belt Collector” is effectively dead.
Aries took to his Instagram account to share a post “in loving memory” of the “Belt Collector” monicker- citing dates and showcasing the Championships he had this time last year in comparison to what he has now.

While it is possible Aries could capture numerous Championships yet again, he has garnered a severe amount of criticism for his attitude as of late. It reportedly led to WWE releasing him, and he visibly threw up the middle finger to Don Callis at Impact Wrestling’s Bound for Glory PPV and no-sold the finish of the main event vs. Johnny Impact.
Did you enjoy the “Belt Collector” monicker? Who would be another deserving wrestler to be called that? Let us know your thoughts, opinions, and reactions in those comments below.
