WWE Survivor Series is over at this point, and even though it apparently didn’t count, the kickoff show featured a tag team elimination match featuring tag teams from both main roster brands. During the match, there was a switch-up made on the part of the Lucha House Party where Kalisto jumped out of the match and they even brought attention to it on commentary, but there is more to the story.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that the former NXT Tag Team Champion actually suffered an injury and took himself out of the contest, and it’s good thing there was another person to take his spot or they might have done a lot more to make this match work, even though apparently the wrong team won in the end.

“So Kalisto suffered a knee injury in the match and he just kind of got off the apron and then Gran Metalik got on the apron.”

Hopefully, Kalisto is okay, but Gran Metalik was still available to jump in and take over Kalisto’s responsibilities.
We will let you know more on Kalisto’s injury status as we receive additional information.
