Shane McMahon is the Best In The World, but he wasn’t at Raw last night when as we previously reported the plan was for him to be there. He’s currently supposed to be a part of the Survivor Series match this Sunday, but apparently, those plans might be a bit up in the air right now.
Mike Johnson explained on PW Insider Elite audio that although McMahon is currently advertised he could be swapped out for another Superstar who knows a thing or two about Survivor Series.

“Shane McMahon is currently advertised for Survivor Series. We were told a week, a week and a half ago that he will not be in the match — it will be Randy Orton. So we’ll see if there is some sort of angle where Shane steps out and Randy Orton is put in or maybe there’s some Raw attack and someone from Raw takes out Shane and it leads to Randy Orton stepping in? We’ll see. Maybe they’ll just change their plans completely and Shane’s gonna be in but everyone I spoke to in the last 48 hours seemed to still be under the understanding that comes Sunday at Survivor Series, Randy Orton will be in that Raw vs SmackDown men’s elimination match.”

It will be interesting to see what reason they come up with to explain why Shane McMahon isn’t going to be a part of Survivor Series. But it could be any number of things, but hopefully, it will be a heat-getter for McMahon as he transitions into a hated authority figure on SmackDown Live to counteract the babyface Paige who everyone loves.
