Cody Rhodes is one of the biggest names in indie wrestling and he has blazed his own path since leaving WWE. Rhodes has some big plans for next year which as we previously reported he teased in a big way while saying that it will be role unlike anything he’s done in the pro wrestling business so far. But apparently, Cody might have suffered an injury.
You can never plan when something bad is going to happen in your life, especially an injury. It turns out that it doesn’t even have to happen during a match either. Because Cody says he heard a loud pop in his knee when he was simply teasing a t-shirt throw to the crowd.
“Going from one side of the crowd to the other last night, teasing a t-shirt toss of all things…heard a loud POP in my knee. Terryfing. Hoping it was just a lil’ meniscus and Sunday I can still deliver,” The American Nightmare tweeted out early on Saturday morning.
Hopefully, Cody will be okay and he doesn’t need to take any time off but only time will tell. With the rest of his 2018 booked solid and 2019 looking like there will be an exciting plan coming to fruition, he doesn’t have any time to deal with an injury at the same time.
We’re sending good thoughts your way, Cody.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
