WWE Crown Jewel is in the books and although WWE got around saying Saudi Arabia during the English language commentary on the WWE Network, the Saudis are naturally not hiding the fact WWE Crown Jewel took place in their Kingdom at all.
A video was released following WWE Crown Jewel hyping the event in a cinematic way. It’s quite impressive with epic music and makes the event seem larger than life as it is highlighted with shots of the happy crowd.
“The #WWECrownJewel championship commence in the presence of the Chairman of General Sports Authority H.E. Mr. Turki Al-Sheikh,” the text of the tweet sent out by the Saudi Arabian Sports Authority.
You can check out the video below as well as many other tweets sent out by the Saudi General Sporty Authority as well. There’s another highlight video included and it’s a little longer than the first.
Many of the posts feature shots from the event and one features a crowd watching intently. It’s interesting that while women were allowed to attend the event, they don’t seem to be highlighted here, nor was Renee Young on commentary for obvious reasons.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
