SmackDown Live star Samoa Joe is an avid gamer and a fan of the WWE video game franchise. He was also one of the Superstars present at the WWE Performance Center while various YouTubers were given the right to interview various competitors while taking a first look at the upcoming WWE 2K19 video game.
In a video released by Grims Toy Show, Grim sat down with Joe to talk about the game. This led the “Samoan Submission Machine” to reveal what his plan would be to become the cover star of a future WWE video game- which includes not listening to those who openly criticise the game developers for every decision.
Joe had the following to say:

“So yeah, I was talking about this earlier. Everybody asks me what would it mean to be on the cover for 2K Games like it’s a big deal. Listen, if I was on the cover of a 2K Game, I would hope that it was after I was after I was [named] a technical advisor, I sat with the developers. We hammered out all the issues, we got on the message boards, we listened to what you had to say. Then I would take everything you would have to say on the message board- totally ridiculed it and said it was wrong, and we would make the game my way. Then we’d slap my face on the cover. It wouldn’t just be me benefiting from this. When you see Samoa Joe on the cover of that video game, you can say ‘you know what? Gold star! You certified that the only way he could get on the cover of that game is if he personally made sure it was awesome.'”

Grim laughed the response off, as the two spoke about a new game mode idea for WWE 2K20, which they called “Riot Mode.” Essentially, the idea here would be that the environment is destructive and you can absolutely destroy everything with your character.

WWE 2K19 will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on October 9. You can purchase one of the special editions of the game to play up to four days early. Additionally, 2K previously announced that there will be no Nintendo Switch game this year.
