Hell In A Cell was a night full of plenty of hard-hitting action as the WWE main roster did their best to entertain. One very exciting moment came when fan-favorite Becky Lynch captured the SmackDown Women’s Championship from Charlotte Flair.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that he believes this finish was changed late in the game to give the fans something to be happy about. After all, the conclusion of the main event left fans much to be desired and some were flat-out angry about it.

“I think that the Charlotte/ Becky Lynch finish was changed, but the rest of the show was pretty much [planned]. But they kind of gave the people what they want in that one.”

Becky Lynch is being booked as a heel but received like a babyface. Only time will tell if they can finally get people to boo Becky Lynch. But one thing is for sure, whatever reaction they’ll have for Lynch, she’ll be a champion when they give it to her.
