WWE’s new deal with Fox is for $1 billion and will last 5 years. This is a very big deal and could amount to some serious changes in WWE’s programming other than simply SmackDown Live’s Friday night home.
Joe Peisich said on Barnburner’s Fired Up that he’s heard that a couple things are reportedly pretty much a lock, but another show might be extremely interesting that could see WWE with new weekend programming.

“It looks like NXT is going to be on Fox Sports 1, I believe that’s the case. Also Saturday Night Main Event is going to be on some Fox Network shows, I believe that’s the case. But also look for some new WWE show to be on Saturday mornings on FS1 and FS2 I have heard.”

Only time will tell how things work out with the new Fox deal. After all, they’re paying a lot of money so WWE will probably do whatever is needed from them. If anything, Saturday morning pro wrestling with your breakfast cereal might be making a comeback.
