In news that may come as a shock to many fans of Impact Wrestling, WWE has now hired one of the company’s top producers. James Long, who was the Head Coordinating Producer and Video Editor at Impact Wrestling has now signed with WWE. He had been with Impact since July of 2014.

Long was hired specifically for WWE NXT, according to PWInsider. While in Impact, Long was in charge of all taped and live vignettes and promos. He also managed multiple production teams, working through every aspect of the production cycle. This included working on graphics, video packages, creative and execution of both digital and television content.

Long also prominently worked on the “Broken Universe” content alongside Jeremy Borash on behalf of Jeff & Matt Hardy whilst they were in Impact Wrestling. Borash, as many fans are now aware, is employed by WWE.

It is unclear at this time if WWE plans to use both Borash and Long to continue paving a path for The Hardys, but we do know that Long will have a big impact on WWE NXT TV moving forward.
