Daniel Bryan made headlines when he was cleared to compete ahead of WrestleMania 34 earlier this year. Now a prominent member of the SmackDown Live roster, Bryan’s contract with WWE has almost expired.

During the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer commented on the new contract WWE has offered Bryan- which features both pros and cons that Bryan would have to deal with, assuming he accepts.

The big negative within the contract is that Bryan would have less creative control moving forward. With so much fan support, Bryan has been able to have a certain level of creative control with his character since returning. That will significantly change.

In the way of positives, Bryan would receive better health care, an increased salary, and better television exposure through SmackDown Live, Total Divas, and Total Bellas that he wouldn’t get through competing elsewhere.
