As reported by ESPN, Renee Young will be a guest commentator on next week’s edition of Monday Night Raw.

Young, who has just begun commentary duties for the Mae Young Classic, will be calling the action alongside Michael Cole and Corey Graves throughout the entire three-hour broadcast. Renee will be filling in for Jonathan Coachman who has other commitments on Monday, with the 32-year-old being given a golden opportunity to showcase what she can do in the booth.

Michael Cole, who has served as the voice of WWE for many years now, called Renee a true trailblazer as she prepares for this next challenge. The former Total Divas cast member had the following to say when she spoke with ESPN.

When Michael told me, I was like, ‘This Monday?! What are you talking about?! I am so excited for this opportunity. To be sitting with Cole, who has been such a great champion of mine since I’ve been working for WWE, it’s going to be really cool.

Cole stated that he thinks this is the first time a woman has been on commentary throughout an entire episode of Monday Night Raw, as the women’s revolution continues to spread throughout all different sectors of WWE.

It’s a big episode for her to be appearing on, too, with there likely being a higher viewership number than usual courtesy of this being the go-home show for SummerSlam. Young has been with the company since 2012, evolving into one of the best interviewers and hosts that they’ve ever had.
