It was reported on Monday that originally Roman Reigns vs. Bobby Lashley was slated to close Sunday’s WWE Extreme Rules event. This match obviously didn’t close the show and was instead the event was closed with the Iron Man match that saw Dolph Ziggler defending the Intercontinental Championship against Seth Rollins.

According to Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer, the reason WWE didn’t have Reigns vs. Lashley close Extreme Rules was the fear of the crowd crapping on the match.

“I was told midweek it was the main event and then told it was changed the day of the show for reasons having to do with fear of the crowd crapping on it.”
