X-Pac welcomes Joey Ryan to the show.

Ryan notes that he’s been doing a lot of work with his promotion, Bar Wrestling as of late. He even booked X-Pac on a show one time and X-Pac says he had a lot of fun working that show. X-Pac admits that prior to that booking he was ready to retire from his in-ring career because he was sick of having bad matches on the indie circuit. Working for Ryan’s promotion that night reignited his love for working in the ring.

Ryan points out that he’s doing two shows most months now, and he’s doing three shows in August. He admits that this complicates his schedule and he’s been quite busy trying to manage his various projects, but he credits his management team for putting the shows together and making sure they go off without a hitch.

Speaking about his in-ring character, Ryan mentions that after the video of his initial “Penis Plex” went viral he assumed he’d get a month or two out of that and then he’d have to move onto something else. On the contrary, he’s had to adapt to this new character ever since because if he doesn’t use that move at every show the fans feel ripped off.

He notes that he’s wrestling a lot nowadays so it’s becoming challenging to come up with new ways to execute the move. He tries to always have a few ideas in mind but he’s also happy to listen to any ideas that his opponent might have on any given night.

X-Pac asks Ryan if he’s spoken to officials at Impact Wrestling about potentially working for that promotion in the future. Ryan says he hasn’t spoken to anyone at Impact, and he’s not really sure why. He notes that it might have something to do with the “penis stuff”, but he adds that he doesn’t do any of that stuff in Lucha Underground so he wouldn’t have to do it in Impact either if that was a problem for them.

X-Pac speaks about the passing of Matt Cappotelli. He informs that he didn’t know Cappotelli well, but it’s evident that he was a wonderful human being who was universally loved by everyone who knew him. Cappotelli’s death hit him hard because there was a time when he didn’t really care about living anymore and yet he’s still alive while Cappotelli, who fought cancer for 13 years, is no longer with us.

X-Pac comments on the criticism that’s been directed at Kenny Omega recently, after he inadvertently booked Chasyn Rance, a registered sex offender on a wrestling show. Omega claimed to not know Rance’s history and X-Pac believes Omega in this case. He notes that the blame for this should be placed on Rance’s shoulders, because he should have had the foresight to let Omega know his history prior to being booked on this show. X-Pac thinks Rance should have known that him being on the show was going to result in negative publicity for Omega.

WWE Superstar, Nakamura was bitten by a police dog recently, and the bite appears to be worse than originally thought. Nakamura will be kept out of action for at least another couple of weeks due to this extremely weird situation. X-Pac notes that it’s a normal thing to have police dogs at events to check for bombs so this was nothing out of the ordinary, other than the unfortunate bite of course.

Reports surfaced this past week, suggesting that Vince McMahon plans to invest upwards of $500 Million into his new XFL venture. X-Pac notes that if McMahon would have waited a few months to cash out some of his WWE stocks, the recent surge in WWE’s stock price would have nearly paid for this investment in the XFL. Unfortunately, McMahon cashed out those stocks a little too soon.

Ryan comments on the notion of intergender matches in WWE. He points out that the success of intergender matches in WWE would all depend on how the company presents and promotes them. He thinks the company is creative enough to tell those stories but it has to be executed correctly or it won’t work.

Ryan comments on the current positioning of his former tag team partner, Candice LeRae in NXT. He feels that she might be under-utilized at the moment, but he admits that he doesn’t know the long-term plans of NXT creative.

That sums up this week’s episode of X-Pac 1, 2, 360. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya next week for another recap!
