The Royal Rumble is one of the original Big 4 WWE pay-per-views for good reason. The winner of the big Royal Rumble matches get a guaranteed championship match at WrestleMania and those matches can be some of the most thrilling in WWE’s calendar of events.

Brad Shepard of Bodyslam.net reports WWE is going all-out with next year’s Royal Rumble event. The Chase Field in Phoenix Arizona will play host to the big show and it was said that WWE plans for it to rival the 2017 Royal Rumble event in San Antonio Texas’ Alamodome.

WWE apparently sees Arizona as a great market and they want to cash in as much as possible. With a recorded capacity of 48,519, WWE could probably fit even more people in the stadium if they put chairs on the field which is likely to happen.

So it looks like WWE is looking to step up their game in a big way as they start the Road To WrestleMania 35.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
