WWE has a pretty good deal going on with Fox right now. The major broadcast network will start airing SmackDown Live on Fridays starting in October 2019. But that doesn’t mean WWE is in the clear.

It was noted on Wrestling Observer Live that WWE didn’t do the best rating this week for SmackDown Live when Bryan Alvarez made an observation that WWE’s Blue Brand could run a great risk at cancellation if they continued to pull in that kind of rating.

“If they do 2.1 million viewers on Fox on a Friday night they will be canceled and moved to FS1”

Of course, Fox will have a natural audience which could help pull up this rating. But WWE needs to really focus on keeping SmackDown as good as possible if they want to keep their sweet Friday night network television spot.
