“The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes has one of the most fascinating success stories in recent memory. The former WWE Intercontinental Champion walked out of the WWE and quickly changed the face of independent wrestling alongside his fellow Bullet Club brothers.

Rhodes will be hosting a self-financed special event alongside The Young Bucks come September. This event, which has been titled “ALL IN”, will feature some of the biggest independent names outside of the WWE and is scheduled to be attended by approximately 10,000 people.

It is safe to say that Rhodes has cemented himself as a main-event player in the wrestling business. It is also possible that he would be given a major push in the WWE if he were to return anytime soon.

The former ROH World Champion was asked by a fan on Twitter if he will return to the WWE in the near future. Rhodes denied any such possibility and explained why that is the case.

Rhodes said that even though he is forever grateful to his former employers for basically raising him in this business, he doesn’t see himself being capable of following anyone’s directions.
