We know about the King’s history with heart attacks. On an episode of Monday Night Raw back in 2012, he suffered one next to his friend/colleague Michael Cole while the show was on the air. A scary moment, but fortunately the King was able to receive proper medical treatment and recovered over a brief period of time. So when the story broke that he suffered another stroke weeks before WrestleMania but still managed to show up to commentate on April 8th, much of the WWE Universe praised the King on his professionalism and his commitment to the company. Now, details on when his stroke occurred have been revealed by the man himself…and it’s the most Jerry the King like story ever.

On his most recent podcast, Dinner with the King, Lawler reveals a VERY personal story leading up to his heart attack. That is, that he was having sex with his fiancee Lauryn McBride when it happened. King states:

I got up and I said something to Lauryn and I didn’t really feel anything, and she said, ‘What did you say?’And I realized then that whatever I said didn’t sound right, and then she looked at me — we made eye contact — and she said, ‘Oh my God, Jerry, go look in the mirror.’ I walked around to the bathroom and I look in the mirror, and the whole right side of my mouth is drooping all the way down to my chin.

H/T NY Post

Happy to hear that Jerry has recovered once again. Let’s hope, for all of our sakes, that the next time he decides to show love to Lauryn, we don’t have to hear about it. Listen to the full podcast below.
