X-Pac opens today’s show by speaking about his experience in New Orleans this past weekend. He says that he’s traveled to New Orleans several times in the past and he wasn’t a fan of it there, but he actually had a tremendous time there this past weekend. Looking back now, he blames his past negative experiences on his bad attitude.

He had a great time at WrestleCon, where he was able to meet with lots of fans who were very excited to see him. He points out that he tries to greet each fan and look them in their eye, because he believes they deserve that. He adds that these fans aren’t travelling around the world and standing in lines for autographed pictures; they’re looking to have a good experience while meeting someone they’re a fan of, so he tries to make that happen for all of his fans.

Speaking about the Hall of Fame Ceremony, X-Pac points out that as far as he knows, inductees were given time limits for their speeches this year. Unfortunately, that didn’t seem to matter much because the event was very long. He points out that he loves Hillbilly Jim, but he thought Jim killed the whole thing and took the air out of the entire building with his lengthy speech.

Speaking for that long is very selfish in X-Pac’s opinion, because it has a negative effect on the speeches that are yet to come. He felt very bad for the inductees who had to speak later in the show because lots of fans and talents had to leave prior to those speeches.

Speaking about NXT Takeover, X-Pac says as far as pure wrestling goes, it was the best show of the week. He thought the match between Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa was a work of art, and he thought the 6-man Ladder match was fantastic as well. His favourite match on the card was the Woman’s Title match between Shayna Baszler and Ember Moon.

He liked the NXT Title match as well, but points out that Black and Almas could have slowed down a touch during the bout. He really loves the package of Almas and Zelina Vega as he thinks those two work really well together.

Moving into the WrestleMania card, X-Pac informs that he sat in the second row with his dog for the majority of the card. Unfortunately he had to deal with one drunk, obnoxious fan while sitting there but he enjoyed the majority of the show. He informs that Charlotte’s entrance was one of his favourite entrances of all time, and after defeating Asuka on this show he didn’t understand why she was booked to drop the Title to Carmella on Smackdown this week.

X-Pac says in hindsight, the mixed tag match between Stephanie/Triple H & Rousey/Angle probably should have closed the show. However, on paper prior to the event he thinks WWE made the right call by putting the Universal Title match on last. He thought the mixed tag match ended up being the best match of the night because that’s the match that had fans invested the most.

He points out that Rousey is “real good at this”, better than basically anyone thought. He thought the opening segment on Monday’s RAW was great as well, and he has liked Stephanie’s role in this feud thus far. He points out that Stephanie has plenty of experience in big money situations and she’s showing her value in this feud.

X-Pac thought the Universal Title match between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar was a good match, but the audience didn’t give it a chance. He’s a big fan of Reigns and he felt really bad for him after this match. He points out that a lot of the criticism Reigns deals with has come about through no fault of his own.

X-Pac says it was great to see Undertaker return to the ring, and it was even better to speak to him after the event. He says that Undertaker was happy with the match and his performance, and he admitted to X-Pac that he should have swallowed his pride and had the hip surgery prior to the match against Roman Reigns last year. He notes that this would be a fine way for Undertaker to retire if he wanted to, but he thinks Undertaker will stick around for a while now that he’s had the hip surgery and he’s feeling good again.

He didn’t have a problem with Nicholas being chosen as Braun Strowman’s tag team partner, especially if WWE wasn’t going to use that spot for a returning veteran. X-Pac liked having Nicholas in that spot instead of a random talent from the roster, and he thought it resulted in an entertaining segment. He does note that Sheamus and Cesaro should be rewarded for their role in this match.

That sums up today’s episode of X-Pac 1, 2, 360. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya next week for another recap!
