Backstage News on When WWE Decided to Clear Daniel Bryan to Return

Dave Meltzer discussed the news of Daniel Bryan being cleared on today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Live and revealed when Bryan was actually cleared to return.

Word got out about Bryan’s return on Monday night and early Tuesday morning and many WWE Superstars thought he was cleared but he actually wasn’t at that time. Meltzer confirmed that Bryan wasn’t actually cleared until about an hour before WWE made the announced on social media.

“I couldn’t give you an exact time but probably not until an hour before WWE announced it.”

WWE made the announcement at exactly 3PM ET on Tuesday, which would mean that Bryan was cleared around 2PM ET.
