Rey Mysterio Working Wrestling Events Hurt

Rey Mysterio suffered an ankle injury while working for the Catch wrestling promotion in Austria.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that that injury occurred while he was working an eight-man single elimination tournament in tour in four different cities from August 30th to September 2nd. Rey made it to the finals and apologized for the injury promising to return to Vienna to make up for it. Mysterio’s opponent attacked him but Mysterio made a quick comeback and hit the 619 and rolled him up for the went. Mysterio went to the hospital afterwards to get checked out. It wasn’t serious as he continued to work since the injury.

Rey has been working with the CRASH in Mexico and is currently focused on training his son Dominick and preparing him for a pro wrestling career.
