A listener asks Ryback about his 2012 Hell in the Cell match against CM Punk. During the day of the event, Punk was reportedly going back and forth into Vince McMahon’s office discussing the finish, but Ryback was new to the main event scene and he wasn’t comfortable doing that. He points out that things change at the last minute all the time, and that finish realistically could have been changed. Buck points out that this match felt like the right time for Ryback to take the Title from Punk.
From a creative standpoint, Ryback says that main event run never feel right. It was great that he had that opportunity to make more money, but creatively it just didn’t feel good.
That sums up this week’s episode of Conversation with the Big Guy. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya tomorrow for another recap!
