Top 5 Elimination Chamber Matches to Watch

The Elimination Chamber PPV returns this Sunday, which means we will see the Elimination Chamber match. The PPV will be at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona. This is the seventh event under the Elimination Chamber chronology and it will be a Smackdown Live! exclusive PPV.

This Sunday, we will see John Cena defend his WWE Championship against Bray Wyatt, Baron Corbin, AJ Styles, The Miz, and Dean Ambrose. The 16-time WWE Champion, John Cena will look to keep his prestigious championship on the road to WrestleMania.Throughout history, the Elimination Chamber match provided more than just chaos and brutality but prestige and a spot to main event WrestleMania.

In order for fans to truly get ready for this Sunday’s PPV, I have collected the Top 5 Elimination Chamber matches to watch.

The first ever Elimination Chamber Match occurred at Survivor Series 2002 PPV. The fans saw a returning Shawn Michaels try to capture his fourth WWE Title against five other superstars (Rob Van Dam, Kane, Chris Jericho, Booker T, and then World Champion, Triple H).

In 2010, the match’s name became its own PPV and thus replacing No Way Out as a February PPV. At that time, the match was used for defending the World Champion before headlining WrestleMania or getting a spot to main event WrestleMania.

In 2015, there were two Elimination Chamber matches both of which didn’t have a World Championship Title on the line, but rather the WWE Tag Team Championships and the vacant WWE Intercontinental Championship were on the line. This was never done before. Now that the statistical portion of the article is behind us, let’s look at the Top 5 Elimination Chamber matches to watch.
