WWE SmackDown Live Results – January 10 2017

Baron Corbin takes on John Cena and The Wyatt Family get a chance to reclaim their Tag Titles on tonight's SmackDown Live!

Here we are for another edition of SmackDown Live! Raw might be pulling out the big guns in Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Brock Lesnar and Goldberg in order to draw ratings, but SmackDown Live has been winning that war based on a much tighter package and utilising talents better. Last night’s Raw was undeniably a good show, The Undertaker alone made that a fact, however tonight’s SmackDown is sure to be just as exciting!

John Cena returns to the ring tonight to take on Baron Corbin, in what is set to be a huge match for the up and coming Corbin. Baron has been booked really strong as of late, so it will be interesting of that remains true against the face of the company.

Meanwhile, American Alpha put their Tag Team Championships on the line against The Wyatt Family. Randy, Bray and Luke only held the titles for a week before losing to Gable and Jordan in their first defence. That should be a fun match and maybe we will see another title change, or dissension within The Wyatt Family.

Elsewhere, Dolph Ziggler finally turned heel last week after losing to Baron Corbin. The Showoff attacked Kalisto before then attacking Apollo Crews backstage. Ziggler’s new hotheaded attitude is a welcome change to his stagnant babyface character. Logic suggests Dolph will be entering a feud with one, or both, men, which could give him some much-needed momentum heading into WrestleMania season. Although it doesn’t make much sense to feed a talent like Crews to anyone.

Dean Ambrose toppled The Miz last week to gain the Intercontinental Championship. It’s a massive testament to Miz that quite a few people didn’t care for that decision. Sure, Ambrose is awesome, but The Miz is on the run of his life and taking his title seemed rushed. Will The Miz seek a rematch tonight? Or will Daniel Bryan make him wait until the Royal Rumble? And where exactly is Miz going? Once again, all logic suggests a match against Daniel Bryan but…who knows?

Anywho, that’s the rundown for tonight’s show. Which matches are you excited for? Let us know in the comments and prepare to feast your eyes on the greatness that is SmackDown Live!

Get rid of Steph and Raw might actually be worth watching on a weekly basis. I like the minimal TV time Shane has been having on Smackdown as well as Daniel. Make the show about the wrestlers and the wrestling instead of a McMahon

Natalya come’s across as too much of a nice person to be a heel.

So is Elmsworth going to move on to Rummer Rae?
