The Taz Show Recap – Raw Analysis, Jericho’s Championship Win, ‘Taker & HBK’s Return, More!

Blocks 1 & 2:

Taz opens today’s show speaking about Chris Jericho’s United States Championship win from Monday Night Raw last night. Taz thinks this was a great move by WWE, because it appeared that Roman Reigns didn’t even want that Title right from the start.

He believes Reigns’ run with the U.S. Title was fairly forgettable, and now WWE has a chance to build that Title back up again with it being on the shoulder of Jericho. Taz thinks WWE should create some resentment between Owens and Jericho over which Title means more, but they must make sure the Universal Title is held above the U.S. Title the entire time.

A listener calls into the show and says he was live at Monday Night Raw last night and he couldn’t believe how much of a spectacle the live show has become. It had been a long time since this fan last attended a live event and he was amazed by the improvement in the production of the live event.

Taz thought the show itself wasn’t very good last night, but he admits being live in the building often changes your perspective of how good a show was. The caller says for most of the show the building was anticipating the returns of Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker but other than those two men, the caller gives a tremendous amount of credit to Roman Reigns.

The caller says when Reigns’ music hit, the aura of the entire arena changed. He believes Reigns is very close to being VERY over as a heel or a babyface. Taz agrees with the caller and says Reigns has been over for months now. There are some fans who hate him and others who love him, but there’s no denying that he gets a reaction every time he enters an arena.
