Examining the Successful Careers of Former Shield Members

It has become abundantly clear, to the majority of the WWE universe, that Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins have more or less moved the WWE in a positive direction. These 3 superstars, who at one point created the popular faction The Shield, have become major players in the ring over the past few years. Every decision the WWE has made with their careers have proven to be positive turning points for the company. What makes these 3 guys so successful? What is it that they posses, both as a group and as individuals, that the WWE universe is so crazy about?

The Shield

All 3 members of this notorious faction were brought up from the WWE developmental brand, NXT. Seth Rollins, the said leader of The Shield, was the first crowned NXT champion. In November of 2012, The Shield invaded WWE’s Survivor Series by attacking Ryback. This on scree assault set the gears in motion for their upcoming success. They had their first match at the next TLC PPV that same year; showing the WWE just what these 3 superstars were capable of. At TLC, the team began their undefeated streak, gaining both the US Championship and the WWE Tag Team Championship belts along the way.

The team was a force to e reckoned with; all three each possessing a certain style of wrestling that really made them a success. Roman Reigns as the powerhouse clinched more than just the Tag Titles with Rollins. He set WWE at Survivor Series and the 2013 Royal Rumble by eliminating the most superstars during the royal rumble match. Dean Ambrose, as the street fighter, holds the record for longest reigning United States Champion. Seth Rollins, though he holds no records at the moment, gave the group the more extreme side of wrestling pulling off flashy death defying abilities.
